TBS Memo: January 25th, 2012

I trust that your afternoon was successful with many things accomplished.  TBS was busy with a bunch of different things and we are praising the Lord for the blessings he brings us each day.  Today was great especially during the choir hours as the Praise Men from MBBC came and ran an afternoon of skits and challenged the students with what God would have for their future.  The students really enjoyed their comedy and their down-to-earth approach concerning the things of the Lord.  During the day Kerry Tompkins and others were busy organizing Auction items.  Kerry is doing a great job with the event and we have some new additions to the Auction.  Last night we were given 4 Trek bikes from Ripon College!  Great condition bikes that should bring some great income for our Auction.  What a blessing that was - Thanks Paul and Amy Braker for your help with those items.

TBS played some basketball games this afternoon and the good thing is we had a great opportunity to teach our kids how to be a gracious looser.  Both the girls and boys lost today but not without a valiant effort on both accounts.  Coach Eckberg and Struska battled against Mt. Top Christian Academy and Coach Shaeffer and Leeds led the boys against the Warriors of Wyldwood Christian School. The TBS teams showed great effort in each game and played with all they had.  Isn't it good that you don't win everything?  Nobody is perfect and it just shows us in a unique way why we all need a savior!  Lessons Learned!

God is good all the time - I tend to forget that when the busy schedule gets in the way.  So many people put in so many hours to make the school what it is and I believe that the school should be a direct reflection of the Church and Jesus Christ.  All members working together as a unit making the body stronger. This is what I saw today as I walked the hallway this morning.  I am almost brought to tears knowing that he has our best interest in mind and all we have to do is follow his direction.  It would be my challenge that we all look for things to help each other with. Some of you may be doing just fine and others may be going through the valley of struggle and hurt.  Let TBS encourage you this week by letting us know your struggle and we will do our best to pray for you and meet your need before the Lord.  I am blessed to know each of you and the encouragement you are to me is a reminder that I am working for the Lord not for the things of this world.  What a freedom to serve!  Here is a look at tomorrow:
